What to expect on your first two visits

  1. First visit 25 minutes

A consultation with Dr. McDade, a review of your case, X-rays on-site if you need them, an exam, and your first adjustment, unless the imaging says otherwise.

  2. Second visit 20 minutes

We explain what we found, check how you responded, and give you a good-faith estimate of the cost of care, as the No Surprises Act requires.

Questions new patients ask

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health care approach that seeks to get people well without the use of drugs and surgery.

What does an adjustment feel like?

Most patients describe the adjustment as “momentary pressure.”

Do you use a Y-strap?

We have one, and we use it for gentle neck traction only, not the sudden yanking you see online.

Are there any age limits?

No. We see everyone from newborns to the elderly, and adjustments are tailored to each patient.

Will I have to get X-rays?

Not always. The doctor decides during your exam. If you need them, they are taken here in the office at your first visit.

How much does it cost? Does insurance cover chiropractic?

It depends on your policy. Many insurance companies cover chiropractic, and we go over your coverage at the first visit.

Will I need to keep coming back?

At first, yes. Our most common recommendation is a 12-visit plan over one month, and visits become less frequent as you progress.
